Welcome to IMIEU
- Initiating and developing European co-operation projects, focused on demonstrating that economic development can go together with improvement of the environment and nature protection.
- Advice with respect to nature protection regulation and integrated management plans for permitting, decision-making, implementation and development of infrastructure projects as for e.g. Maritime infrastructure,Flood Defense works, Renewable- energy projects, energy infrastructure, and coastal plans. This advice is mostly given to projects or governmental project organisations and focuses on a neutral perspective, i.e. usually in co-operation with Environmental-nature protection NGO's and governmental authorities or other stakeholders.
An additional specialisation includes cross-border issues between the European Member States relating to spatial planning, infrastructure development and nature protection issues.
So far, IMI has been focused on projects located in coastal and estuary areas. However, occasionally advice is given also to on-shore infrastructure projects. IMI has affinity and experience with working in Belgium (Flanders), Finland, France, Germany, Luxemburg, the Netherlands, and the UK and can also work in the languages of those countries.
