The mission at the Institute for Infrastructure, Environment and Innovation is to initiate projects which demonstrate development of infrastructure through reconciliation along with improvement of the environment. Since the year 2000, a number of similar projects have been initiated.


Nature  


  

As many North - Western European Countries have common problems, much benefit lies in co-operation. Started in 2000, within the Paralia Nature project, the co-operation was based on finding solutions regarding the different steps of Article 6.3 and 6.4 of the Habitats Directive. Cross border cooperation


 

The coordination between EU member states for spatial planning, environmental and nature proceedings on either sides of a border is very complex. To avoid delays and misunderstandings,one needs to be very careful dealing with the coordination of these topics .
