IMI, on its own behalf, initiates and develops European co-operation projects on Infrastructure Development and Energy and also coastal zone policies.IMI accepts donations; specifically earmarked, in order to maintain the sustainability of the project.

IMI also takes up assignments on projects which have an objective to support environment friendly Economic- development.
